Sitting over the strong hand you do not want to lead away from your heart suit ands possibly give away a trick on the lead (around to a possible AQ of Hearts in declarer’s hand. You also know that partner can have no more than about 3-4 points top weight as you have 11,declarer has 20 and surely dummy will turn up with 5 or 6.
With this in mind you decide to play the Spade Ace and examine the dummy. Now you know partner cannot have more then 2 points and you are not going to defeat the contract. However you can salvage some match Points by taking maximum tricks and at trick two you should cash your King and now hold declarer to 11 tricks for an above average Match Point score.
Any defence that involves a Heart lead or a Heart switch at trick 2 and declarer easily wraps up 12 tricks by way of 5 Clubs, 5 Diamonds , and 2 Hearts.
