This
hand comes from a wonderful bridge site www.bridge7.com which is a labour of love devised by
Yalcin Pekiner. You can play hands with or without all four hands showing and
there are tips on how to achieve your contract.
The
secret of this hand is to dispatch 2 of your 4 potential losers (1 Spade, 2
Diamonds and the Trump Ace) on winning clubs. After winning the first trick,
before drawing trumps, (if you play trumps, they get in with their ace and cash
a Spade) cash two top clubs throwing 1 Spade away. Now you can begin to draw
trumps. Since you will not be able to get back to hand, you will need to throw
another Diamond loser on the remaining high Club in hand, before going over to
dummy to clear the last trump.
