On our hand this week Vickir, my partner on OK bridge demonstrated how to bring home 11 tricks.
After a friendly lead, she had control of all suits and decided to immediately set up the Spades, She wanted to keep control of the suit and ducked the first round of Spades, won by East who unable to play another Heart switched to Diamonds which Declarer finessed successfully wining with dummy’s Jack . She now ducked another spade winning the Diamond continuation.
She now played Ace of spades pleased to see the suit breaking kindly and with the 13th spade on table was able to claim 11 tricks by way of 2 Spades, 3 Hearts, 3 Diamonds and 3 clubs.- well played Vickir
