After  some undisciplined bidding (Bidding again after making an original limit bid) could partner now prove her worth?

When she played this hand against me she certainly excelled.

Firstly she won the first trick and played the Heart King to discover the bad trump break. She then ran the trump Jack which held.

Because she was in the correct hand she now played a "LOW DIAMOND" pleased to see the King "fall on air"- i.e. not capturing any large cards). West would only play this card if it were singleton so declarer now knew to draw the last trump. She then finessed the Diamond 9 and as expected the finesse worked when  West showed out. She then played the winning Diamond Jack before ruffing her spade loser. Now she was on the table to enjoy the remaining two Diamonds. She now made all 13 tricks - 1 Spade, 1 Spade ruffed in the short hand, 5 Diamonds. and 6 trumps.  West of course was not feeling too well.

(Of course, had West led the Club Ace the defenders would take 2 Club tricks but that defence is unlikely).
