Firstly you need to try Dummy’s Club Queen at trick one (its rude to leave a bare queen on the table). This holds and your king in hand is safe as long as you keep East, the danger hand, off  lead.

You now need to deal with the Diamonds and cater for a 4:0 break and still be able to finesse into the  AK so you cash the Queen first and discover the bad break but are able to finesse through East twice,. So you now do your first finesse and East splits his honours and plays the 10.

You now re-enter North with a high Spade and finesse East again. This time East unobligingly does not cover and the suit is blocked.

Your only hope now is that West has the Heart Ace and you lead up to dummy’s Queen which luckily holds.

You cash the last Diamond and then another Heart. West wins and gets off lead with a spade to your Ace (the only one you have left since you had to keep your club protected.

You now cash your winning Heart and concede the rest.
