This hand has been included, more, for the bidding, than the play, After opening 2♣, miracle of miracles, partner makes a positive bid of 3♣. At this point in time as long as partner has the AK of Clubs you can count 13 tricks and a bid of 5NT devised by Josephine Culbertson and commonly called Josephine but correctly called GRAND SLAM FORCE says partner I can control all the other suits but I desperately need you to have best trumps. The bids says if you have two of the top three trump honours please bid 7 and, if not, just bid 6.
North duly with his AK of clubs bids 7. Now South knows that North must have had FIVE clubs to make positive bid in clubs so South can count all 13 tricks 6 Spades, 1 Heart 1 Diamond and 5 Clubs and should now bid the better Match Point score and bid 7NT despite the 9 card club fit.
After winning the first trick declarer should test Spades and when they are no worse than a 5:2 split declarer should CLAIM the rest.
