In Imps where making your contract is of the utmost importance you must try to keep West off lead. West is known to hold very good Hearts from his lead promising KQJ9. So refuse the first two tricks and then take a Club finesse through West. East will grab the lead but can no longer play any more Hearts and you will amass 3 Spades, 1 Heart, 3 Diamonds and 3 Clubs for an overtrick.

In MPs with West leading the King promising KQJ you might take a view that the opponents have 10 points only and from West’s lead he has six so he probably has no more high cards (or laws of average suggest that East has 3-4) so if you think East has the Queen> With this in mind you would not bother to hold up. You would now finesse East for the Club Queen and now achieve two overtricks by way of 3 Spades, 1 Heart, 3 Diamonds and all 4 Clubs.
