You are on lead to 2ª and you would love to be able to ruff the third round of Diamonds so you need to WAKE partner up to this fact. The normal lead from AKX is Ace top of a sequence. And when you lead King this only promises the Queen to follow. However if you do this the wrong way round, this is a WAKE UP CALL to partner at trick two. Therefore you lead King and then the Ace and expect partner to give you a Suit Preference signal at trick two. Partner then  follows suit with the 9 at trick 2 and now you can switch to Hearts. Declarer wins the trick with his singleton Ace and now attempts to draw trumps. Partner wins and gives you a Diamond ruff. The defence will subsequently make 3 more trumps and a Club and the contract will go two down. The defence has realized. 3 Spade tricks, 2 Diamonds tricks 1 Diamond ruffed and 1 Club for an excellent defence.
