1 15-17 No Trump range
To say the least the bidding was bizarre but the card play was almost perfect, when I watched this hand.
After winning the first trick declarer entered dummy with a top Heart and the threw a club and a Heart on the top diamonds. He then played a heart back to hand in order to ruff his losing Heart BUT he made sure of not being overuffed by trumping with dummy's Ace, East was unable to overtrump and discarded. All declarer now needed was the trump suit break to be no worse than 4:1. The trumps in fact broke 3:2 and declarer claimed his 13 tricks by way of 6 trumps (from the long hand) 2 Hearts, 2Clubs, 2 Diamonds and 1 Heart ruffed (very high) in the short hand.
I was somewhat surprised to see other people going off in this very good contract.
