This is almost the same hand as last week but this time East did not hold up the Diamond but took the diamond. He now played a Heart back to his partner before taking one more Heart trick then switching to the ♥ 8.
It looks all over for declarer, as declarer needs the rest of the tricks. Is there a possible way out for declarer ?. If West started with 4 clubs and two spades then West will be squeezed as declarer plays the 4th and 5th Diamond. He cannot guard all his clubs and his Spade King. Now declarer will prevail from winning either all the remaining clubs as East only started with two or all the remaining Spades as the King will have to be played on the fifth Diamond if he decides to guard Clubs.
