If you fall into the trap of being “an Always drawer of trumps” then you will only make 10 tricks ie 4 trumps, 1 Diamond, 4 Clubs and just one ruff. However if you don’t touch trumps, then you should be able to get 11 tricks even if they have switched to a trump at trick two. After taking the trump trick cash three winning clubs dumping the Diamond loser, cashing the Diamond Ace and now cross ruff Diamonds and Spades generating 5 separate trump tricks
