In order to make this contract the Heart finesse has to work and East must have one or both Diamond honours. The Club finesse is an illusion since you can throw the Club loser away on dummy’s other high Spade Honour.
With this in mind you win the first trick and immediately play the Club Queen. Whether it is covered or not you play dummy’s Ace and cash the Spade winner dumping your club loser. You now take the Heart finesse and when it wins you repeat it. Unfortunately you are now in wrong hand to take the diamond finesse but don’t worry you, just use your ©9 as your entry to enter dummy. You now play the ¨6 and when East covers, splitting his honours, the hand is now all over.
You will have made 2 Spades, 5 Hearts 4 Diamonds and 1 Club.
