The opponents seem to have a lot of fire power and it is vital not to give anything away. If you lead from either Black suit you might be leading into the jaws of South’s possible tenace, maybe an AKJ of Spades or an AQ of Clubs. As you can now see if you lead a Spade declarer is able to win the first trick with dummy’s Jack and can now throw a losing club away on the third round of Spades. Similarly if you lead a Club again you give declarer a free finesse handing him his 13^th trick on a plate in that suit.

Therefore having decided not to lead a Black suit everything points to a safe trump lead, letting declarer make his own running. When this hand was played against me a Spade was led. Perhaps the defender thought she was leading against a small slam where an aggressive lead would be called for.
