What do you lead after The Opening Bid of 2© (weak) gets passed out ?
When the opposition bids and ends up in your primary suit it is vital to lead your other long suit. This is known as “Long in Trumps Lead Length”. The reason you do this is hopefully declarer will have to start using his trumps prematurely and might lose control of the trumps suit itself.
Since you have five trumps and five Diamonds you therefore lead a Diamond, either the King or 4th highest. Although dummy has the Ace the lead works out well and ultimately declarer will fall behind in the tempo and will only make 4 trumps 1 Club, 1 Diamond and 1 Spade and you should defeat the contract by one trick despite the reasonable dummy and despite the quality of declarer’s Hearts.
