For some people the ªKJ in dummy this is like a red rag to a bull and they feel they have to finesse come what may. Firstly the finesse is 50% chance and if you go for it you will fail and go one off. Secondly you do not need the Spade finesse. All you need to do is set up the Hearts and your contract is guaranteed.

After drawing trumps simply play a Heart up towards the QJ10. West will take his Ace and probably get off lead with a Spade. You win this in dummy and lead up to the remaining Heart honour. Now that the Heart is established it will take care of the Spade loser. You will make 2 Spades, 4 trumps, 1 Club ruffed, 1 established Heart and 1 Spade ruffed in dummy, the short hand.
